Louis-Maurice Boutet de Monvel, French painter and illustrator, was best known for his watercolors for children's books. “The Vision and Inspiration” shows Saint Joan of Arc’s first vision in 1425 at the age of 13. While in her father's garden, she saw visions of Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret.
