A place on the web to see an "echo" of God's glory through art.

The great Saint John Paul II stated in his 1999 "Letter to Artists":

" ...you have admired the work of your inspiration, sensing in it some echo of the mystery of creation with which God, the sole creator of all things, has wished in some way to associate you. "

He is talking to you, me and all artists. We have a responsibility, a vocation really, to make the best use of our talents to bring people closer to God's glory. The mission of Paradise Found Studio LLC is to facilitate this with a website that brings together all types of beautiful and inspirational Christian and spiritual art.

MY VISION:
WITH ALL OF THE NEGATIVITY AND DIVISION ON THE INTERNET THESE DAYS, I WANT TO HAVE A SPACE FOR BEAUTIFUL IMAGES THAT BRING US TOGETHER INSTEAD OF PULLING US APART.

Of course, artists have to eat, so this is also a gallery to purchase high quality prints so you can enjoy these fine works in your own home. The artists do their part by bringing their glorious visions to life, and you can do your part by financially supporting their craft.

So where do I fit in? I'm a largely self-taught, illustrator, painter, and (most recently) mosaic artist. From 8 to 5, I manage marketing communications for an industrial chemical company. I've been creating marketing materials, website, etc. for almost 30 years. After hours and on weekends, I roll up my sleeves and create. Some of it is pretty good, some of it you will never see, but always try to be working on something new and interesting.

I have long been a fan of the work of Gustave Doré, and I managed to rescue an antique copy of Paradise Lost with his etchings from the late 1800's. I developed a technique of painting watercolors directly onto the engravings, bringing them to new life. Images include dramatic battles between Saint Michael and heaven's legions and Lucifer with his army of demons.

This artistic exploration led to Doré's biblical images and deeper and deeper into Christian and spiritual imagery. Paradise Lost beget "Paradise Found", and of course my St. Michael logo inspired by Doré himself.

I hope this website brings light into your world in some small way. Why don't you try to share it?

God bless!
