“Close of Crucifixion”, by Kevin Pawlowski, is a watercolor painting over an antique etching by Gustave Doré. The painting is a dramatic and haunting depiction of Christ at the moment of his death on the cross, as the skies opened up with gusts of wind and streaks of lightening frightening away Roman Centurions.
This is a one-of-a-kind work of art. The etching was removed from an antique book, and watercolor was applied over the image. The image area is 7.5” x 9.5”, and page size is 8.5” x 11”. It will look best displayed with mat and frame.
